ClinicsCharlie has placed working cowdogs on ranches all over the United States plus Canada. He has seen a need to educate cowboys and ranchers on how to use and handle their dogs to get the most benefit from them. Charlie Trayer has been raising and training Hangin' Tree Cowdogs for many years and has trained hundreds of cowdogs. He has experienced most every problem a dog or the handler can have, also he has experienced handling every type of cattle with dogs. To this end Charlie offers clinics with his methods geared specifically for working cattle with dogs. Clinics are one & two day. Demonstrations
Charlie gives cowdog demonstrations during equine educational events, rodeos, cattle seminars, and other ranch, cattle, and working dog related gatherings. Charlie Trayer's working cowdog demonstrations not only educate and inform cattle ranchers and cowboys but also entertain spectators of all ages, careers, and backgrounds. There is something special about watching a working ranch cowboy demonstrate the techniques he uses in the day-to-day operation of a ranch. During a typical demonstration Charlie works on horseback, using a set of Hangin' Tree Cowdogs. Fresh cattle are used and are previously unworked with by dogs. Charlie dispels the common myth that working cattle with dogs makes the cattle wild and uncontrollable. Closing the demonstration Charlie and the dogs load the cattle in a stock trailer in the arena. At the end Charlie answers questions from the audience. |
